Met with rave reviews, Git Gud: Better Knowing Your Champions returns today to dig into Mattgt321's dark, sordid past. As before, please feel free to ask him more questions in the comments. Hope to see you Friday!
What is your favorite 80s movie?
Mattgt321: Akira, pronounced (Ah-key-uh), is a bloody sci-fi cyberpunk animation that changed the game for anime's. There are plenty of other great movies that hold such high prestige, but this just takes it for me.
What is your favorite 80s song?
Another One Bites the Dust will take this for me. How can Queen not be your favorite, I know this isn't the 70's Queen but I can't quite rule them out here.
If you were going to try and bribe the Tournament of Champions officials, what would you be offering? Hypothetically…
I have a couple future 5th round rookie draft picks for information of the games list. I could give better picks if games were picked in my favor. Hypothetically...
What is your favorite game played at CVGC?
Dance Dance Bushido Blade. It wasn't part of the actual tournament but was a great addition to the early side tournaments.
What is your special move?
What motivates you to win CVGC?
The tragic loss to David in the very first CVGC. He sabotaged my equipment knowing I would come out victorious. To this day, I use that as my fuel to beat him. That must be why he took a hiatus from battling in his tournament, for the fear I would destroy him yet again.
What is your catchphrase?
What is your favorite CVGC moment?
Is this supposed to be a trick question? When I won, obviously. Every time that David loses would probably count too.
Any games you remember from the finals that helped propel you to your victories?
Nope. The year I won it was based on total points on all games. Thinking of it, why don't we go back to that structure?
